These two are part of a series of dragon paintings I'm doing for the Calgary Expo 2016, showing three ages of a variety of dragon breeds.

The idea is that these are pages out of an old book that lists the different types of dragons that exist in the fantasy world we're developing. There will be little flavor cards that go with each dragon describing notable characteristics about each breed.

One of the western themed paintings for Calgary Expo 2016.

Here is painting that was done for Calgary Expo 2015.  As a result it has inspired a theme of western paintings for Calgary Expo 2016.

Here are a couple villain concepts. Still playing around with different materials for armor. In the top one I was going for an aged bronze look with fur because Wornok mainly live in high mountainous areas, and the heads are so you know he means business. With the bottom one I was thinking he has decorated his armor with the horns of rival Wornok, the plates are made of bone and the rest is leather.

Here's a rough costume concept for another one of our Wornok characters and below is a small slice of the map of the world they inhabit which is still a work in progress.

character concept for our world

This character is based in a world we have been working on.  This particular image shows what we call a Wornok.  A number of concepts are in the early stages to be turned into paintings once the image gets worked out.
